Discover Mardi Gras is an independent, unofficial planning guide for visitors to New Orleans during Carnival. We are not affiliated with any krewe, the city, or the official Mardi Gras organizations.

Our promise is simple: useful before commercial. We do not sell rankings, and we do not let anyone pay to appear in our recommendations. When we eventually add booking links, they will be clearly labeled and will never change what we recommend.

We try hard to get the facts right, but Carnival changes every year and krewes announce details on their own schedules. If you spot something wrong or out of date, tell us and we'll fix it the same day.
